Welcome

Celebrating Over 80 Years Of Service!

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA) represents over 2,700 Board-certified otolaryngologists and health care providers. Otolaryngology, frequently referred to as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), uniquely combines medical and surgical expertise to care for patients with a variety of conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat, as well as commonly related conditions. AAOA members devote part of their practice to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic disease. The AAOA actively supports its membership through education, research, and advocacy in the care of allergic patients.

"Advance the comprehensive management of allergy and inflammatory disease in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery through training, education, and advocacy."

To properly register your physician for a course you need to make sure he is a member of the AAOA and his dues are up-to-date. To get a member rate, you must be logged in to his profile. If you don’t know the login information, it’s best to call the AAOA office at 202-955-5010.

My physician wants me to go to a course, but I’m not a member.  How do I do that?

There are two options for nonmember Allied Health and Advanced Practitioners to register for an AAOA course:

  1. Become a member! Submit an AAOA membership application along with a letter of recommendation from your supervising AAOA-member physician to bwokas@aaoallergy.org. Once you’ve sent in your paperwork simply call in a form of payment and, as long as everything is in order, your application and course registration can be processed immediately.
  2. Register as a nonmember by creating a profile in the AAOA Portal. Once you have set up your profile with your unique email address, click the “Live Courses” link in the navigation bar, select your desired course, and proceed with your registration.

Make sure you are not logged on as another member of your staff, as this may overwrite their profile.

My membership lapsed a few years ago.  How do I get back up to date?

Reinstating a lapsed membership can be done by phone, mail, or online.  Rather than paying each year back to when the membership lapsed, we only require reinstating members to pay the current year of dues and one years’ past dues. This is currently $870 for physicians and $410 for non-physicians.

Credit cards can be called in to 202-955-5010, and checks can be mailed to:

AAOA, Inc.
C/O 500062
PO Box 5007
Merrifield, VA, 22116

When reinstating through the AAOA portal, simply follow the membership renewal instructions above twice.
