The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA) represents over 2,700 Board-certified otolaryngologists and health care providers. Otolaryngology, frequently referred to as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), uniquely combines medical and surgical expertise to care for patients with a variety of conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat, as well as commonly related conditions. AAOA members devote part of their practice to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic disease. The AAOA actively supports its membership through education, research, and advocacy in the care of allergic patients.

John H. Krouse

John H. Krouse, MD, PhD, MBA, FAAOA

Dr. John Krouse is a professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and former dean of the School of Medicine and EVP for Health Affairs at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Dr. Krouse graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University, and received his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Rochester. He earned his MD from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Krouse also received an MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.

Dr. Krouse completed his internship in surgery at Beth Israel Hospital and his residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School in Boston. He is board certified in otolaryngology.

Dr. Krouse is currently editor in chief of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and its sister open access journal, OTO Open.

Jennifer Villwock, MD, FAAOA

Dr. Jennifer Villwock is a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellow of the AAOA. She attended medical school at the Michigan State University – College of Human Medicine and residency at SUNY-Upstate in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Villwock is currently an associate professor and associate residency program director at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her academic interests include olfaction and sinonasal disease. She is also passionate about medical education from the undergraduate level to continuing education. Dr. Villwock’s outside interests include “gardening” aka (according to her husband) digging up perfectly good lawn and then neglecting what she plants there instead.

Registration fees are non-transferable. Refunds (less a 20% administration fee) may be considered for cancellations received in writing by the AAOA prior to December 15th, 2021. 

Cancellations received after December 15th, 2021 are non-refundable.
