“Don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you” — Margret Thatcher
This morning I noticed some daffodils defiantly blooming in the woods. While their defiance may have really been courtesy of the neighborhood squirrels, it still made me smile with applause. Here they were popping up at random, as opposed to all the well-manicured lawns where the flowers have been very purposefully placed. There is just something admirable in doing “it,” what ever “it” is, your own way. It isn’t just inventive. It is freeing.
Your AAOA has embraced its renegade daffodil. Innovation is our new methodology. We are innovating new member benefits, such as our Affinity program to bring you cost savings with allergy and related practice devices, tools, and supplies and our Stacks, to expand how you can access our renowned education content.
And we are innovating our educational delivery. While we pivoted to hybrid in response to COVID, your response underscores the value of 90-day content access from the setting of your choice. Our 2025 Explorers Course (newly designed!) is currently open for virtual access. If you missed the live component that just closed, you still have time to gain insights on ETD, sleep, cough, food allergies, asthma, and more. Next up: Basic Course 2025. Register now to assure
access to the pre-work slated to open June 10.
For our Annual Meeting we are innovating in our content delivery. While learning from experts is a key component, learning from each other is also valuable and reassuring. How your peers approach similar practice challenges can be an eye opener. Have a practice challenge or diagnosis or treatment conundrum? Let us know at [email protected], on your registration form, or post your question in the Whova Community during the AAOA programs. We crowdsource to better respond to your needs. We encourage you to take the time to share. Everyone’s input helps us to build the not-to-be missed meeting.
