CEO Update, July 2024
Sitting here at the Basic Course I cannot help by be inspired. Such a great mix of live and virtual attendees excited about the role allergy plays in their ENT practice and the opportunity to learn how their peers incorporate allergy, define testing boards, train staff, and more.
The shift to a hybrid format has done more than just offer different ways for our members to engage. The shift has expanded what was a 3-day meeting into 90 days of content access. Looking at the Whova engagement data, many of our registrants take advantage of all the program offers. Kicking off with 11+ hours of pre-work, our live segment builds on those core concepts and features panels really sharing the nuances of “how they do it.” A great segue into the peer-to-peer speed networking where our attendees shared what they do and challenges they face.
Basic is open until September 30th. So you still have time. The hybrid courses and our virtual stacks are a great way to earn CME, meeting your ABOHNS continuing certification, and train your staff.
Now that Basic is over, we are focused on our independent Annual Meeting in Las Vegas. The Education Committee is finalizing the details. Programming will span everything from challenging immunotherapy and dose calculations, incorporating in office procedures, and empty nose syndrome to chronic cough, inflammatory disease management, drug-induced sleep endoscopies, and more. Vegas is a hot destination, so we encourage early registration.
Don’t forget, there is no added registration fee for AAOA members. Annual is part of your dues value.
