Celebrating Over 80 Years Of Service!

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA) represents over 2,700 Board-certified otolaryngologists and health care providers. Otolaryngology, frequently referred to as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), uniquely combines medical and surgical expertise to care for patients with a variety of conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat, as well as commonly related conditions. AAOA members devote part of their practice to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic disease. The AAOA actively supports its membership through education, research, and advocacy in the care of allergic patients.

"Advance the comprehensive management of allergy and inflammatory disease in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery through training, education, and advocacy."

Resident Opportunities

Resident Scholarships

In an effort to further resident education, the AAOA offers Resident Scholarships for the Basic and Advanced Courses.

Designed to assist residents with travel and accommodation costs, scholarships are given to those residents who have applied for a scholarship and are an AAOA Member as of the application deadline.

Because the AAOA’s goal is to assist as many residents as possible while still awarding a considerable amount, we will not know exactly how much assistance will be awarded until after the registration deadline. However, scholarships can range between $150 and $850, payable to the resident’s training program.

In order to apply for a Resident Travel Scholarship, you must currently be an AAOA Resident member in good standing or submit a completed application form with your scholarship application.  Resident presenters, including podium and poster presenters, are also eligible for the Annual Meeting Travel Scholarships.
