CEO Update, May 2024
Can you believe we just celebrated Memorial Day and are heading into summer? I am still wrapping my head around that.
It has been a busy year with the launch of our new member Affinity program offering group purchasing savings, autorenewal offering easier member renewal, EGPA podcast offering the latest on diagnosis and management, USP <797> tools to help you comply, all of our CME opportunities to help you stay current, and more.
With all your feedback on our CME registration and evaluation forms, our Education Committee is putting the final touches on our 2024 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas to help deliver what you have shared as your challenges and educational needs. (Don’t forget, the Annual Meeting is part of your dues value, so there is no additional registration fee. We expect Vegas to sell out, so if you are planning on attending live, we encourage you to register and book your hotel now.). The program is shaping up to bring the latest on biologics, migraine, CRS, and AI, as well as challenges in allergy management from emergencies and complicated dose calculations to asthma, chronic cough, and related inflammatory disease.
Our Basic Course is right around the corner. The pre-work, which features the core concepts for allergy diagnosis and management, launches in June. With the new hybrid format, the course really spans 90 days with 3 days of live content for those who choose to be in Florida or in their clinic. Hailed as the pinnacle of our CME programs, Basic Course attendees rave about the ability to augment their allergy practice, train their staff, and share with peers. It is not too late to register and maximize your course value.
With our expansion in how we integrate with the ENT training programs, well over 30 residents are already registered for the course. Exposing residents to the medical management component of ENT really helps give them a better perspective of life post residency. With the support of our Foundation and Lincoln Diagnostics, we have been able to impact more programs and the residents within those programs. What a great way to impact our future!
Speaking of futures, we have been focused on our education programming future as well — Reimagining what the Annual Meeting and Advanced Course should look like to help our programs evolve with your needs. Efforts will consider content, formats, delivery styles, destinations, and more. We are very excited about the possibilities. Watch this eNewsletter for more on this as the efforts of the Education Committee and Board come to fruition.
